“For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.” Psalm 61:3
In my last blog (1) I wrote about the tower. But what is meant by the enemy in this text? If a strong tower refers to a mind filled with His truth (see previous blog), what is the enemy we need this strong ‘tower’ for?
In Colossians 1:21 it says: “And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled”
Enemies in our mind! Who are those enemies in our mind? Those are the thoughts of lies and delusions from the mind of man. The strong tower – which refers to a mind filled with His truth – protects us from those lies and delusions. How important, then, that we fill our mind more and more with His truth, so that it becomes a strong tower against all the lies and delusions of the world we live in (the 30- and 60-fold spiritual earth)!
